Tong Zhang (right)

Tong Zhang is a first-year postgraduate student at the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London, pursuing an MSc/MA in Innovation Design Engineering (IDE). He graduated in 2023 with an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from University College London, where he developed a solid foundation in technical mentorship, manufacturing, and rocket engineering. As a former Technical Lead of the UCL Rocket Team, Tong led the development of bi-propellant cryogenic liquid rocket engines, demonstrating exceptional leadership in innovative engineering projects. Skilled in engineering design, practical manufacturing, and software tools like ANSYS and Fusion 360, he combines technical expertise with a passion for advancing design and engineering solutions.

Guannan Liu is also from IDE1. With a background in Interaction Design Arts from the University of the Arts London, graduating with First-Class Honours in 2024, she brings a multidisciplinary approach to design. Her professional experience includes developing user-focused solutions in IoT systems and advancing innovative tools for elderly rehabilitation. Skilled in UX research, product design, and programming, Guannan excels in blending creativity with technology to tackle real-world challenges.
