The DET Kinetic Design Initiative

The INTERPLAY Kinetic Design Competition is annual one for students studying within the UK in creative subjects, such as from the art & design sector, architecture, engineering, or the performing arts. Awards are made to encourage development of ‘kinetic’ aesthetics practice.

INTERPLAY23 Cyber-Physical Exhibits

The INTERPLAY23 KINETIC DESIGN EXHIBITION comprised three types of exhibits: firstly eight shortlisted entries with £1K Awards; secondly six unfunded Commendation Award projects and thirdly six projects selected from a workshop called ‘The Cyber-Physical Systems’ sponsored by DET. It is part of the Royal College of Art and IMPERIAL’s ‘Dyson School of Engineering Design’ joint Masters courses in ‘Innovation Design Engineering’ (IDE) and ‘Global Innovation Design’ (GID).

All projects were all exhibited on 6th December 2023 at the INTERPLAY23 Exhibition and Symposium, hosted by The Royal Society of Sculptors, London, UK.
